Alisson Ramses Becker is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world at the moment, and he is the current goalkeeper of the English club Liverpool and the Brazilian national football team. In a massive six-foot-three-foot structure, we take a look at some of the most important quotes about Alison.
The winner of many titles and accolades since his debut in 2013, Alisson has recently been involved in trying to help Liverpool win the Premier League and Champions League.
He started his career with Brazilian side Internacional, winning four consecutive state championships, and moved to Italian side Roma, before eventually joining Liverpool in the Premier League in 2018.
Noting the number of clean sheets he kept in Italy, he netted a record £66.8m and proceeded to help Anfield go 20 games unbeaten in the league and saw them win the Champions League in his first season with the club.
Having not conceded a goal in 21 league games on his first attempt, Alisson then went on to perform better as he led Liverpool to their first top-flight success in 30 years, this time with 13 clean sheets in 29 games.
With Liverpool aiming for more trophies, there has been a disappointment of late as the club narrowly lost the Premier League title on the final day of the season, losing by a strange goal to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Alison
“… ..a great goalkeeper with excellent technique and a strong physique.”
Paulo Roberto Falcao (international manager)
“I was amazed by his presence and the calm he brought to the whole team.”
Eusebio Di Francesco (Roma coach)
“He’s great… he’s gotten better as the season has gone by…”
Chris Kirkland (Former Liverpool goalkeeper)
“There were a lot of positives – his physique, how he led his territory, his comfort in building play – but what stood out right away was his decision…..you have to have the natural ability to read situations and react so that you make difficult things seem simple. “
John Ashterberg (Liverpool goalkeeper coach)
“Alison is able to make everything simple. He reads the match and is very calm and calculated…”
Marco Savorani (Roma goalkeeper coach)
Is Alisson worth 50 million euros? Don’t be silly, he deserves so much more…..I don’t think many people have realized who Alison is. This guy is a phenomenon. It is number one among a number. He is the goalkeeper Messi, because he has the same mentality as Messi. He’s a goalkeeper who can define an era.”
Roberto Negrisolo (Former Roma goalkeeper coach)
“…..the chance to sign one of the best goalkeepers in the world…..he is a real character. In the meantime, he has a lot of experience in the past few years, in Europe and in Rome, and he has played there at an amazingly high level…..the complete package Just good…”
Jürgen Klopp
“…..Alison at Internacional because he will be special…He was comfortable with the ball, aggressive, positive…But most importantly, he was excellent at doing the basics right and really well. Ali anticipates danger and does all kinds of saves.” : easy, hard, high, low…”
John Ashterberg (Liverpool goalkeeper coach)
“When Alisson runs towards the ball, he thinks like a striker – where he’s going to shoot, how he’s going to do it.”
donga (Brazil manager)
“There is absolutely no comparison with Gianluigi Donnarumma, because Alisson is exceptional… I watched him play for Brazil and he made a huge impression on me… The way he behaves in goal, reminds me of Dino Zoff. I would also like to compare him to Michel Priud-Homme, who had a degree The one who was born to be a goalkeeper… I can assure you that Alisson can be a guarantee for at least another 10 years. He is indeed a champion for the fans….. Alisson is decisive off the field too, as you can see he has the mind of a coach. Look at the way that He moves with it and acts when the ball is in his hands and you will understand…”
Roberto Negrisolo
“…..future guard.”
Eusebio Di Francesco
“What I have always said is that Alisson is a step above others because of his behaviour, attitude and technique. Saying he is ‘Pele of the goalkeepers’ is exaggerated. I have always appreciated his style of play and the calm he brings to his teammates and the coaching staff.”
Claudio Taffarel (Brazilian goalkeeper coach)
“He’s not one of those guards that you would describe as eccentric and theatrical… He’s not ‘fador’ [flying keeper]… ..instead of making acrobatic saves, he will be in the right position to cover a large portion of the goal. He’s great on and off the field. He became a leader in the locker room.”
Jorge Andrade (Executive Director of International Academy)
“He is very conservative, but you can see that he will go on to be a great goalkeeper, perhaps one of the best players ever at Inter, very close to what Taffarel has achieved in his career.”
Dorival Junior (player coach)
“Alison is only a surprise to those who haven’t seen him before. What really amazes me is how efficiently he handles dangerous situations. This gives his team a lot of confidence.”
Gianluigi Buffon (Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper)
“Alison? I thought it was crazy to spend so much money for a goalkeeper, but I was wrong. It’s a phenomenon.”
Daniel De Rossi (Roma midfielder)
“Alison is a true professional and a true gentleman. He deserves all the praise he receives.”
Luciano Spalletti (Former Roma coach)
“He deserves all the accolades for what he did last year… He seems to be a very poised goalkeeper, not very self-confident, but he has a good balance. He never seems to be confused, great goalkeepers are always in control of every situation. He has this ability to tackle For the ball that other goalkeepers can’t do. But great goalkeepers make saves when the match is tight, to keep them in it.”
Ray Clemens (Former Liverpool goalkeeper)
“He’s been fantastic, in the big moments he’s progressing, he’s a great goalkeeper. He does everything a modern goalkeeper should do, he’s good with his feet, and he makes several big saves that matter.”
